– Start by prepping the nail with Nail Prep and Nail Bonder. These low-acidity bases will help create a better bond with the natural nail.
– For problematic nails, you can enhance durability by first applying a thin layer of a clear base, such as Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear.
– Properly build your apex: these bases are especially flexible immediately after curing, so shaping a correct apex is crucial for maintaining strength. If the base is only brushed on or the apex is insufficient, nails are more likely to break.
– For very thin nails that tend to lift at the corners, gently remove a layer of the natural nail at the end of the service using a special under-refill bit.
