When choosing a Timeless Base for a semi-permanent manicure with apex:

– Always use prep solutions (Nail Prep and Nail Bonder) before application. These bases have low acidity, which ensures great adhesion to the natural nail.
– For clients with problematic nails, adding a thin layer of clear base (such as Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear) can provide extra durability.
– Properly shape the apex; immediately after curing, the base remains flexible. For optimal strength, make sure the apex is correctly sculpted. Applying the base too thinly or without a defined apex may lead to nail breakage.
– For thin nails that tend to detach at the corners over time, gently file the natural nail using a special bit with the under refill technique at the end of the manicure.
