Choose the right products and techniques based on your client’s natural nails and the look you want to achieve. When selecting a base for a semi-permanent manicure with apex, it’s recommended to use Nail Prep and Nail Bonder first to enhance product adhesion, thanks to their low acidity. For problematic nails, a thin layer of clear base (like Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear) can provide extra durability. Correctly shape the apex for optimal strength, as applying only a thin layer or insufficient apex may result in broken nails. For very thin nails prone to detachment at the corners, use a special under refill bit at the end of the manicure to file the natural nail underneath the enhancement.
