For classic manicures, start by applying a base layer of nail polish in a matching shade. After it dries, add a second coat. Before the second layer dries, sprinkle the nail velvet directly onto the nail using the container, a fan brush, or tweezers. Brush off any excess, gently press the velvet in place, and your velvet manicure is complete.

For UV manicures, sprinkle the velvet onto the final coat of UV gel before curing. Apply the velvet in a thin layer to ensure UV rays penetrate and set the gel properly. To ensure long-lasting results, cure the finishing gel twice after the nail velvet has been applied.
