For a classic manicure, start with a layer of nail polish in a complementary color. Allow it to dry, then apply a second coat of the same polish. While the second layer is still wet, gently sprinkle the velvet powder directly from the container onto the nail using a fan brush or tweezers. Remove any excess powder with a brush and lightly press the velvet for a smooth finish—your velvet manicure is complete.
For UV manicures, sprinkle the velvet powder onto the final layer of UV gel (finish) before curing under the UV lamp. Apply the velvet in a thin layer to ensure the UV light can penetrate and set the gel. For the best results, cure the sealing gel in the UV lamp twice after the velvet has been applied.
