– For tricky nails or extra durability, start with a thin layer of a clear base such as Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear.
– Properly sculpt the apex for strength—due to the base’s increased flexibility right after curing, shaping the apex correctly is crucial. Inadequate apex formation or simply brushing the base on thinly can lead to breakage.
– On very thin nails, which can lift or peel at the edges over time, finish your manicure by carefully filing the underside using a bit designed for under-refill technique.
