When using Timeless Base for a semi-permanent manicure with an apex:
– Always start with proper nail prep solutions (Nail Prep and Nail Bonder). These low-acidity bases will improve how the product bonds with the natural nail.
– For weaker or problematic nails, you can apply a thin coat of clear base (like Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear) for added durability.
– Sculpt a precise apex; after curing, the base becomes more flexible, so make sure the apex is correctly shaped to ensure resilience. Applying only a thin layer or an insufficient apex may lead to nail breakage.
– For very thin nails prone to separating at the edges, after finishing the manicure, gently file the natural nail using a specific drill bit for under refill techniques.
