When selecting a base for a semi-permanent polish with apex:
– Always start with prep solutions (Nail Prep and Nail Bonder) for improved adhesion, especially since these bases are gentle and low-acidity.
– For problematic nails, add an extra layer of clear base such as Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear to extend longevity.
– Shape an adequate apex; right after curing, these bases are more flexible, so proper apex formation is essential to avoid breakage. A thin application or insufficient apex may cause the nails to crack.
– For extremely thin nails prone to lifting at the edges, after finishing the manicure, gently file the natural nail under the technical material using a special under refill bit.
