For a classic manicure, start by applying a base coat in a color similar to the velvet. Once it dries, add a second coat. Before the second layer dries, sprinkle the nail velvet directly from the container, using a fan brush or tweezers. Gently brush off any excess and lightly press it in place for a flawless velvet finish.

When using UV gel, apply the velvet powder onto the final layer of UV gel (finish) before curing it under the UV lamp. Sprinkle a thin, even layer so the UV rays can set the gel properly. For best results, cure the sealing gel under the lamp twice after the velvet has been applied.
