For classic manicures, apply a base coat of polish in a matching color. Once it’s dry, add a second coat. Before the second layer dries, sprinkle the nail velvet directly onto the nail using the shaker, a fan brush, or tweezers. Remove any excess with a brush and gently press the velvet to set it in place—your velvet manicure is complete.

For UV manicures, sprinkle the velvet onto the final layer of UV gel (finish) before curing under the lamp. Apply a thin layer of velvet to ensure the UV light can properly set the gel. For a perfect seal, cure your top coat under the lamp twice after applying the velvet.
