When choosing a base for a semi-permanent manicure with apex:

– Always start with proper nail preparation using Nail Prep and Nail Bonder. The low-acidity formula improves product adhesion for a longer-lasting finish.
– For problematic nails, add an extra thin layer of a clear base such as Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear for enhanced durability.
– Carefully sculpt the apex: right after curing, these bases are even more flexible, so shaping the apex precisely helps ensure long-lasting resilience. Applying the product only with a brush or without building a sufficient apex may result in breakage.
– For extremely thin nails that tend to lift at the edges, carefully file the natural nail at the end of the manicure using a special bit for the under refill technique.
