When using a base for a semi-permanent manicure with apex:
– Always prep nails first with Nail Prep and Nail Bonder to enhance product adhesion; these bases have reduced acidity to help with attachment to the natural nail
– For problematic nails, apply a thin layer of clear base (Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear) for extra strength
– Shape the apex properly; these bases have increased flexibility right after curing. Make sure to build a proper apex for resistance—if the product is applied too thinly, nails may break
– If working on very thin nails that may lift at the corners over time, finish the manicure by removing the natural nail underneath using an under refill bit
