When applying Timeless Base for a semi-permanent manicure with an apex:
– Use preparation solutions like Nail Prep and Nail Bonder first; their low-acidity formula improves the product’s grip on the natural nail.
– For problematic nails, apply a thin layer of a clear base (such as Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear) to improve durability.
– Properly shape the apex; immediately after curing, the base is more flexible, so perfect apex shaping ensures long-lasting results. Insufficient apex or just brushing on the base can lead to nail breakage.
– For very thin nails that tend to lift at the corners, after finishing the manicure, use a special bit to file the natural nail from underneath for extra hold.
