– Start with appropriate nail prep solutions (Nail Prep and Nail Bonder) to maximize adhesion, thanks to the gentle formula.
– For problematic nails, an extra thin base layer (Gum Base or Rubber Base Clear) can improve durability.
– Shape the apex correctly; these bases are more flexible immediately after curing. A well-built apex is essential for preventing breakage. Applying only a thin layer or insufficient apex increases the risk of nail damage.
– For very thin nails that tend to lift at the edges over time, use a specialized bit to file away the natural nail underneath as part of the under refill technique.
