For a classic manicure, start with a coat of nail polish in a matching shade and let it dry. Apply a second coat, and while it’s still wet, dust the nail velvet over each nail using a fan brush or tweezers. Gently remove any excess velvet with a brush and press lightly for a flawless finish.

In a UV manicure, sprinkle the velvet onto the last layer of uncured gel (finish gel) just before setting it under the UV lamp. Make sure to apply a thin layer so the UV light can penetrate and cure the gel properly. Cure the sealing gel twice in the lamp after adding the nail velvet.
